Meet Shanna Rogers. When looking for a massage therapist to partner with Healing Path, I wasn’t searching for a generic “spa massage.” I wanted someone who could listen, collaborate, and help you actually change the way a body feels—especially in the places that have hurt for years.
A Specialist in “Pain in the Neck, Pain in the Butt”
Shanna's sweet spot is the kind of tension most people learn to live with: the stubborn knots in the neck, shoulders, low back, hips—what she jokingly calls “pain in the neck, pain in the butt” muscles.
Instead of just gliding over tight areas, she uses focused trigger point work and slow, intentional pressure to get into the root of the problem. Her goal is that “hurts good” place—deep enough to create real change without pushing your body into defense mode.
In my own massage session with her, I realized how rare it is to find someone who truly works with you. We weren’t doing a one-way routine; we were co-creating the massage, adjusting pressure and focus based on instant feedback.
Thoughtful Intake, Professional Care
Before you even get on the table, Shanna asks about your history and current concerns—surgeries, old injuries, recurring pain patterns. She’s in the process of creating a simple written intake so this is tracked clearly for guests over time.
She also pointed out something I’ve seen myself: people often forget old injuries until someone find that spot. Her intake and curiosity are about avoiding surprises and tailoring the session to what your body actually needs.
For peace of mind, Shanna is licensed and insured, maintaining her own practice and carrying professional coverage through her massage association. In short: she takes both her craft and your safety seriously.
Elemental Healing in Her Hands
Healing Path is built on an elemental wellness framework—Earth, Water, Fire, and Air—and Shanna’s favorite tools fit right into that:
Earth – Stones & Salt
She loves working with smooth stones and especially Himalayan pink salt stones, warmed gently and used to deliver deep, grounding heat. They leave a whisper of mineral-rich salt on the skin, adding subtle therapeutic benefit and a beautifully earthy feel.
Fire – Heat & Warmth
From heated table pads to hot towels, Shanna uses warmth as a therapeutic ally. Heat helps muscles release more quickly and makes deeper work comfortable rather than bracing.
Air – Aromatherapy
She uses essential oils sparingly and intentionally—lavender, lemongrass, peppermint, cinnamon, rose—mainly for you to inhale rather than wear. A breath or two of a favorite scent can shift mood and nervous system without overwhelming sensitive skin.
Water – Flow & Softening
Warm, damp towels and the fluid rhythm of her strokes bring in that Water quality of softening, washing away tension, and inviting emotional as well as physical release.
Massage doesn’t have to be just an afterthought to your stay at Healing Path. With someone like Shanna, it can be a key part of your healing journey—softening long-held tension, improving mobility, calming your nervous system, and helping you drop more deeply into the restorative energy this place has to offer.
